Duties of Commission; recommendations.

This Commission shall study the problems relating to the care of the aged with special reference to those failing mentally and shall inquire into the methods of meeting and handling this problem in other states. It shall make a similar study of the problem of the care of individuals with an intellectual disability, with special attention to those requiring custodial care. It shall make a study of the problems relating to the care of individuals with a physical disability with a special reference to those whose physical disability renders them incapable of self-support and shall inquire into the methods of meeting and handling this problem in other states. It shall make recommendations to the Governor offering plans for dealing with the problem of the care needed for this group, and means of clarification of the responsibility of the State and respective counties.
