    The licensee for each licensed day care center and the principal of each elementary school, middle school, and high school shall register with the North Carolina Sex Offender and Public Protection Registry to receive email notification when a registered sex offender moves within a one-mile radius of the licensed day care center or school.  (2008-117, s. 13; 2025-25, s. 29(1).)
